EAT: Eat and Tour, Oskaloosa Food Tours provides a unique combination of food, architecture, history, and culture. Sample food from six food establishments, walk around the downtown area--including the town square which was declared one of the top ten squares in Iowa! Surrounding the town square is the historic business district, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. You will hear the history of these historic buildings, go inside a few of them, and compare architecture.

How Does a Food Tour Work?

  1. The tour will visit five to seven restaurants for food samples. By the end of the tour, you will not be hungry!
  2. In between food samples, the tour will walk around downtown and learn about the history and architecture of the area.
  3. The total tour is 2-1/2 to 3 hours in length. Walking distance is approximately 2 miles with frequent stops.
